  1. @Bezo - with a bit more fiddling I got the formula effector to work. This will be very useful for fencing, hedging and any thing that has a start or end cap. Cheers for your help Parametric Cloner Order.c4d
  2. Hi, Sorry for late reply thanks for your comments. @Cerbera - I probably didnt explain myself clearly. I want a parametric way of having 200 objects (Number adjustable) with the first clone and last clone different. So you would have 1 sphere and then 198 squares (adjustable) and then 1 triangle at the end. @Bezo - Ive looked ay using formula effector but havent been able to make it work. Have you got a setup you can share? @Jacobite - yes this is one way of doing it but doesnt allow me to take advantage of any of the other mograph effects and efficiencies. Thanks For your help
  3. Hi, Using morgaph cloner - is it possible to specify the first, last clone seperately to the clones between. For example I want to have a sphere as the first clone and then x number of square clones then a pyramid as the last all contained with in a mograph. I dont want to use an effector if it means physcically positioning it at the start or end. The number of clones needs to be adjustable parametricly. I hope this makes sense. Seems like an easy thing to do. Possibly need to be code in a python effector? Thanks in advance, Rich
  4. Thanks Havelot, Im not quite sure Im understanding - I realise I can add a random effector to a cloner. This results in the group of objects contained within the cloner being duplicated and randomly rotated. How can I effect only a selection of objects held within the sub group? In the screen shot you will see the list of geometry that sits within the cloner I only want to randomly rotate the cradle and Head (with light) My knowledge only stretches as far as with expresso and fields Are you saying I can use fields to only select/influence the objects - cradle and head? Really appreciate your help Cheers
  5. Hi, Trying to set up a theatrical light fitting with user data and xpresso so that I can easily control a cradle rotation and the head rotation of the light. Ive set the basics up but I want to be able to effect mogarph clones and randomly alter the rotations. It does not need to be animated. There are a couple of floating nodes (morgraph and random which I think should be involved but not sure how. Any ideas? Thanks Richard
  6. Thanks for the help. Ill take a look and let you know if inspiration hits me.
  7. Hi, So yes your correct the channel 4 example is not quite the same but its the closest example. The flaps in the example are effected in reality perhaps by the wind, which is seemingly random by its nature. What I am after is... If you imagine its that same surface of flappers but the flappers are attracted to a target such as a disc hovering over the top. The lead corners of the flappers would rotate to point in the direction of the object. A bit like a magnets effect. The difficulty I'm having is that the trailing edge is static/fixed. Using the target effector effects the whole object rather than pulls the lead corner. Is that any clearer or am I still talking riddles? Thanks for your interest and help
  8. Hi Looking for a solution for how you would go about using mograph and effectors to create a similar effect as the channel 4 flaps identity? Ive attached a link Im attempting to create polygons that effectively rotate and follow a target object shape or object movement. BUT they need to rotate on a per object axis and fixed at axis and influenced by an external element. I am obviously biting off more than I can chew. I was going down the route of a target effector but that has its limitations. Any help would be great https://www.designboom.com/design/more4-channel-re-branding-by-manvsmachine/
