  1. Hi, I'm trying to recreate a technique I saw in a different post, one that @Vozzz came up with and, from the looks of it, is exactly what I'm trying to replicate (without success). It involves four joints controlling the opening of an eyelid. I can't figure out how to make the joints interact in the same way Vozzz set them up. I know he used psr tags to constrain the degrees with which the joints can move, but I've been scratching my head for the last two days on how to repeat the process. I've attached a file. Also, here's a link to Vozzz's post, which comes at the very end: eyelid study2.c4d
  2. @Vozzzyou wouldn't happen to have this eyeball rig available for study, would you? I'm trying to recreate it using joints and psr tags but I can't figure out how you did what you did. It looks perfect for a project I'm working on. Thanks, Robert
  3. I animated a biped character pushing a cart. As the character goes through its walk cycle, its body moves up and down, as does its arms and hands. I have the fingers of the hand placed around the cart's handle. So when the walk cycle starts, the hands and fingers pass through the handle, instead of surrounding it, which is something I don't want. I've played around with various constraints but can't figure out how to keep the hand and fingers from passing through the cart's handle object. Any ideas? Thanks for your attention. Robert
  4. Thank you, everfresh, I got your xpresso to work on my file. It changes from dark to light now by checking the switch box. Perfect. And thank you, Cairyn and DasFrodo for your input; I'm more than slightly dense when it comes to xpresso. Robert
  5. Thanks for the reply, Cairyn. I'm a little lost. Would you happen to know if a Selection Object is part of Cinema 4D R17?
  6. Sorry, I meant switch between two materials on the same object. If you look at the attached file, you'll see two materials on the Sphere, one labeled Light Light and one labeled Dark Light. I'd like to switch between the two, thereby switching the materials on all of the instance spheres that make up the letters. I know xpresso will do this, but the question is how. Thanks. Robert
  7. As the topic title says, I'm trying to switch between two materials on the same object using Cinema 4D R17. I found a wonderful tutorial online that explains how to do this using xpresso, however, at the beginning of the tutorial the host says to make a folder containing the two materials in the Content Browser, and for the life of me I haven't had any success doing that part. Basically, when I drop the two objects containing the textures into the content browser tab, as the host does, nothing happens. The tutorial I'm referring to is here: So, my question is, a) is there another way to switch between two textures on the same object, or b) can someone explain how to drop the two materials into the content browser and place them in the same file? I've attached the file I'm working on. I'm trying to switch between the light texture and dark texture on the object labeled "sphere"; the bulbs are instances. There are many other letters in the original file, but I've included just two in this example. Thanks, Robert letter bulbs test.c4d
