  1. Hello, I've tried to do a jiggle deform while two objects merge, causing the remaining one to move about for a bit after absorbing the other. Attached you'll find a basic idea of what I need and a (not correct) way to do it. Has anyone done something similar? volume_jiggle.c4d
  2. Yes, the difference is ridiculous... Thanks for the update heads-up, just saw it's only three days old.
  3. I hadn't seen the 2024.2 update. Just installed it and it's already making a difference. I'll do some tests and will report back!
  4. I'm trying to simulate a helmet falling to the ground entering a slow motion just before impact. Most of it works fine, except the straps which go a bit crazy. I've tried simulating the base of the helmet separately, all of the objects in one go, and utilising cloth belts to keep the straps connected to the different parts. So far I've not come close, really, so I turn to you. Thanks helmet_sim_core4d.c4d
  5. It did work, indeed! I tried turning off/on the weld option but I guess somehow the dynamics didn't like that sort of setup. Thank you for help, Happy.
  6. Not at all, sadly. I'm trying to replace the Sweeps with Spline Wraps now, but so far it's mostly the same. If you want to test it out, the same thing happens with regular materials, too.
  7. Hello, I'm trying to do an animation where some ropes are pulled from both ends. It's mostly done, except the part where the material on the rope keeps moving when the mesh is lying still. Is there a solution to this, or any other way to accomplish a similar result? There's a similar issue where the hairs added to the mesh won't follow during animation, could that be a related issue? Thanks, //Tobi c4d_core_issue.c4d tex.zip
  8. Hello, I'm trying to create an animation where papers lying on a laptop will fly up and along a spline. I've tried with an attractor, but it's not precise enough. Using a cloner works except that I can't align the object to the path since it changes the objects initial position (and moves the paper from where it is supposed to start from). Anyone with a good solution to this? Rather not keyframe it all 😛 I've attached a bare bones scene in case it helps. Thanks! test_paper.c4d
  9. I'm trying to clone objects onto a polygon divided with the Divider plugin. When randomising the y value of the clones/divided polygons there's a mismatch and the clones appear both above and below where I want them. I've attached links to both an example file and a screenshot of the result. Any help is greatly appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/DImH3Wz https://filebin.net/0fk2ulgmtbizasfc
  10. I'm trying to create a specific cloth reveal. A piece of cloth is supposed to be lifted off a phone shaped cube. My issue lies in getting the shape just right, it needs to be snug so the shape of the phone is visible but loose enough to produce wrinkles in the middle of it. As of now I just simulate dropping the cloth, adjust the settings until it looks somewhat OK, then manually move individual points to get what I want. It is tedious and it just doesn't look right. Would you do it differently? I've attached an example scene file and a quick sketch of what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks, //Tobias cloth_test.c4d
