      Thanks Jim. A new forum version is coming and some of the cafe server's software needed to be updated to run the new version. We're now running a little quicker and using less CPU resources.

    Just upgraded to unlimited bandwidth on my home internet :)

    Installed Win 8.1 on a 256GB Samsung SSD drive. A tad quicker than my hard drive :)

    Playing with Blender. Incredibly after watching and doing a few tutorials I'm actually getting it. Found a few modelling tools that I wish C4D had.

    Been playing with Blender. They have improved the interface a lot. I'm now actually able to do stuff with it. Just checking out their modelling tools. Pretty crappy compared to C4D although I think once you know the keybaord shorts cuts the workflow could be fairly quick.

    So after installing 24gb of memory I now find that Windows 7 Home Premium only supports 16gb memory. Bitten the bullet and ordered Windows 8.1. No point in upgrading to Windows 7 Pro.

      I'm running R15 on my laptop with 8.1. No issues, in fact it runs quicker as Win 8.1 is quicker than Win 7

      To make Win 8 look like Win 7 I highly recommend paying $5 for the "Start 8" app. It then pretty much looks and runs like Win 7.
