    Installed Win 8.1 on a 256GB Samsung SSD drive. A tad quicker than my hard drive :)

    Playing with Blender. Incredibly after watching and doing a few tutorials I'm actually getting it. Found a few modelling tools that I wish C4D had.

    Been playing with Blender. They have improved the interface a lot. I'm now actually able to do stuff with it. Just checking out their modelling tools. Pretty crappy compared to C4D although I think once you know the keybaord shorts cuts the workflow could be fairly quick.

    So after installing 24gb of memory I now find that Windows 7 Home Premium only supports 16gb memory. Bitten the bullet and ordered Windows 8.1. No point in upgrading to Windows 7 Pro.

      I'm running R15 on my laptop with 8.1. No issues, in fact it runs quicker as Win 8.1 is quicker than Win 7

      To make Win 8 look like Win 7 I highly recommend paying $5 for the "Start 8" app. It then pretty much looks and runs like Win 7.

    I see there's a new UV plugin for C4D / BP out. I'd be interested in reviewing it.

      Just watched the beta demo tutorial and wondering why these features aren't part of BP. This UV Vonc plugin is on my purchase list, unless MAXON comes with enhanced UV tools in R16

    Modelled and rendered in Cinema 4D. Doing a test of how well Blender tutorials transfer to Cinema 4D. I did a bit of customizing. Great tutorial but I can't ever see myself using Blender. The modelling tools and workflow look to be a bit clunky.

    Doing a Blender tutorial. LOL - don't panic I'm not jumping ship. I'm doing a test on how well Blender modelling tutorials can be followed in C4D. So far not too many problems. I'll post my finished project when it's done :)
