Close up of the engine from my Lego 8048 buggy. The engine and suspension are rigged using XPresso and constraints. Here's a video of the engine working. -

Here's one with the crash cage rotated up. Everything modelled by me with Cinema 4D R15. The only thing imported is the scanned stickers. Measurements for some parts taken from Leocad (LDraw) parts. Some measurements taken directly off the real model as not all of the parts have been produced for the LDraw parts library. -

Lego 8048 Buggy. Modelled with R15 with extensive use of the new Bevel tool. No imported parts. Everything has been modelled by me using C4D. I did however bring in some exported Leocad parts to get dimensions. The modelling detail of Leocad (LDraw parts) is too low to produce highly detailed models plus where's the fun of using parts made by someone else. The stickers are scans of the originals (I've got the real model) -

Just got the rims and tyres left to model on my latest Lego model, an Off road buggy with suspension and V4 engine
