  1. no problem dude , personally I remember such option when I was reading the manual , I will re-check the manual .
  2. I used the object glow , where do I find the 'glow behind' tick box ?
  3. sorry , I deleted it by mistake now every thing is working
  4. hello , I was playing around with the physical renderer and the Glow post effect and camera settings and this what I came out with ... render time 53 min (rendered on core i5 2C/4T - 291 pts )
  5. I don't know . ask @SIgor about this ...
  6. @Greatszalam the plugin developer make an update for R18 : http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=47&t=1420325
  7. very nice , which render engine did you use ?
  8. HSrdelic already answered this , I don't think Nvidia will bring some thing cool , it will try to sell its Iray only (win Only)
  9. is it possible to make the GPU render frame 1, 2 , 3 and set the CPU to render frame 4 , 5 ? so you can render 2 images at the same time
  10. I see them on CGsociety and I really hate them , they block the screen and force me to do extra clicks .... but it is okay if they are only in with WIP forum .
  11. well , I am not sure I can help with this , but maybe @jed can help ?
  12. yeah , but I don't get what is going on with the object node . does it lag in the xpresso setup or the object manager ?
  13. I don't think I get the problem .... can you give more details or a scene file ?
  14. @kana doc.GetActiveObjects don't take child objects into account , you can check this little script that I made , which have a trick to get around this problem (if you don't have arnold renderer , just disable the script to avoid errors in the console , then you can read it without any problem .) I highly recommend going to Plugin cafe , where you can find more experienced developers who can help you :) Arnold_light_lister-2.c4d
  15. mmmm..... who know knows what MAXON have in their hands .. I think we have to wait and see .
  16. you mentioned that you still like your apple stuff earlier :) but any way , 3d in paint ? well I can't even try to do stuff with it , simply it don't support layers .. re: integration into PowerPoint..... keynote have 3d charts and shapes ages ago . re:AR and VR , did they made it or just talking about it ? you know , five years ago they talked about their great hologram AR thing and still is not available yet .... re:touch bar .... for me a touch bar is more effective than a touch screen , with touch screen you won't save time when working (it will be slower than normal mouse/touch pad ) in the other hand , a touch bar can make work much faster (just interactive shortcuts ) but you know , every one has a preference , some people will like product X and others will like product Y , this very normal :D
  17. well , after I checked the info about the new surface book , this what you will get from both companies : price : both starting at $2,399 Processors: macbook pro 15 inch : 2.6GHz 4-core Intel Core i7 "Skylake" (for +200$ you get 2.9GHz up to 3.8 GHz) Surface Book w/Performance Base :Intel Core i7 "Skylake" (likely 2-core) Graphics : macbook pro 15 inch :AMD Radeon Pro 450 (2GB) - for +100$ Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB memory- Surface Book w/Performance Base :Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M (2GB) Ram : both have 16GB Battery : mac : 10 hours (with a quad core !) Surface Book :16 hour (with dual core ) --------------------------- for me the macbook pro is better investment for money than Surface Book. in addition , the touch pad on the macbook pro (not sure which version , but my 2014 mac have this feature ) is pressure sensitive (with a small app you can draw on touch pad )
  18. apple and nvidia are not going to work together at the mean time , but looking to the bright side , MAXON will implement new GPU render that works with AMD cards , and I saw some videos on youtube : and an old video mentioned that AMD handles high poly count better (in a Gpu benchmark test )
  19. when they showed this feature in action with photoshop , the touch bar changed depending on the task , so I think it is possible to do the same with c4d . yes , many users will upgrade for this new feature , but I might upgrade the next year , for 2 reasons : 1-my macbook pro is still working like a charm and I am happy with it . 2- I don't prefer to take the first generation of this touch bar , just wait it to get further refined and wait for more features .
  20. a Magic Keyboard with TouchBar for iMac would be amazing , but I think apple will keep this feature exclusive to the macbook pro for some years (and maybe for ever ) for obvious reasons . I can't imagine how the new touch bar will work with c4d , imagine that you put the tools you use a lot in that bar , the SDS , symmetry .....
  21. great news ! and the new macbook pro get a great and card , can't wait to see how they will work together :)
  22. lol , I was going to comment but you commented first :D IMO , the new macbook pro 15 inch is just amazing , after I have watched the event I have removed the idea to get an iMac , and decided to get the macbook pro (no yet , maybe the next year ) . the new touch bar is super helpful , can't wait to see how it will work with c4d , I can imagine ton of possibilities ... I don't think apple will give the mac pro some care in the neat future (honestly , render farms are cheaper and easier to use , and google Zync is coming for c4d soon .)
  23. good job :) 1-you have to make an actual geometry (even if it is low poly ) , maybe you can use the displacer deformer .
