  1. Hey @Tudor, well, if it doesn't have to be procedural, I thought you might be able to make it editable, delete everything but the outline, convert to n-gons, extrude and then triangulate.
  2. Hey @Tudor, do you need this to be procedural? Best, Gregor
  3. Hey @Daniel Zepeda - it kinda worked with the CollieMouse plugin at some point, but it's been a while. I'd recommend looking into Houdini with the ability to connect a Gamepad. I'm pretty sure, I've seen a way to record movements on there.

wow! I wish I could say more, but there're simply no words for those delicious renders
  5. Hey Alkapule, 110 samples is extremely low. You should at least set it to 500-800 (the very least!) and use the AI denoiser. I'd recommend render it with a lot more samples and try to use the denoiser as least as possible. You may want some really light noise on your volume to make it look more realistic anyway. Cheers!
  6. Hey Philip, thanks so much for your response. This effect looks actually pretty close to what I was talking about. Only thing is - I remember that in the tutorial I was talking about, the dude was showing a technique to give cinema4d files the drawn look (just like the tutorial you posted but with c4d files instead). Thanks so much for response, though! Gregor
  7. Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a tutorial that I watched like 3 years ago. Already tried finding it through the search funktion, but I had no luck. Basically there's this guy explaining his workflow for a project he did (I believe it was something like birth control pills or such?!) and how he managed to achieve a certain look. This being a sketch and toon kinda look, without actually having to render it in C4D. He sets up a basic scene in Cinema and brings it over to AfterEffects where he layers and comps it and then shows how fast you can get results using this technique. I know, my description is super vague, yet I hope someone will remember this video somehow. Thanks so much! Gregor
  8. Hey @Cairyn, first time I hear about CollieMouse! I'd be super happy, if you'd implement that in your R21 release. Where would I buy/try your driver? Is there a download link somewhere? Thanks for getting back to me! 🙂 Best, Gregor
  9. Hey all! I'm trying to create a "fly through" camera without keyframing it, but with using my 3D space mouse. Unfortunately it seems like Cappucino doesn't recognise the movement of my 3D mouse, so it won't work this way. Is there any other way you guys can think of? Best, Gregor
  10. @ABMotion - thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for!!!
  11. Hey Westbam, you can find a copy of my rig attached. See, how the Shader Effector only effects the top Cloner, but not all of the Clones individually. That's what I'm trying to do - effect all Clones individually... Thanks you for your reply!! Best, Gregor Cubes.c4d
  12. Hey Guys, I've been trying to solve this for days now, but I can't really wrap my head around it. I want to use Effectors on a Cloner that is cloned by another Cloner, but I can't get it to work right. The setup is simple. I put a cube in a linear Cloner to build sort of a line, and put it in another Cloner to offset it in Y and Z. Also I used a Formula Effector to Z-Offset only every other Clone. Now I'm stuck, because I want to effect all of the clones simultaneously. When I apply a Random Effector for example, it'll work only for the first OR the second cloner. Not for both at the same time. I thought about putting both Cloner Objects in a Fracture Object, but I couldn't get that to work either. Is there a workaround for this, where I don't have to make my Cloner Objects editable? That's the only way it worked so far... Thank you guys a lot in advance! Best, Gregor
  13. Hey guys, sorry for the late response! I actually figured it out, thanks to your help! Thank you guys so much for helping me out here! Cheers, Gregor
  14. @maliohammad, thanks for your feedback. I already tried using it, but I couldn't get it to work. That's why I posted my question here - I'd be happy, if you could point me in the right direction here. Best, Gregor
  15. Hello everyone, I've been trying to use xpresso to rotate a couple of clones around their center point. What I was trying to achieve (without having to manually keyframe that), is kind of the technique of those old split-flap displays (see attachment). I already built the setup, but now I'm stuck animating that in a way, that the clones rotate faster when they're in the range of 0-180 degrees and rotate slower, when they're in the range of 181-359 degrees. Is there a way to set this up, using the range mapper and maybe some offset in some way, or would I need to write a script for that? I'm glad for every thought you might have on that! Thank you guys a lot in advance! Best, Gregor
  16. I'll have a look into that @Cerbera - thank you for the fast reply!!
  17. Hey everyone! I recently tried modeling a dynamic rope and already got some good results, using the Spline Dynamics Tag. Right now, I wanted to "attach" some objects to the rope. Like towing a car with that hook. Another example would be something like that Newton Cradle. Unfortunately I can't really combine the Spline Dynamics and the Rigid Body Tag (which I would need for the Spheres to interact). I hope you guys get what I'm struggling with... Thanks in advance! Best, Gregor
  18. nice! I really like the last one!!
