  1. Hello Cesar, first of all thank you, I know the topic was not so easy, and I appreciate the effort in replying. I kinda grasp the theory behind what you wrotr, but I'm not this familiar with Xpresso ( although I am italian, lol). It would be great if you could grab the scene I attached to this post, and maybe apply this Xproesso script , and re upload it, so that I could study and reverse-engineer the scene. Thank you so much in the meantime, and have a great day. Anto
  2. Hello Everyone, I'm working on a project about motorcycle lifts, and I need to create a mechanical rigging for it. I'm a bit struggling though, so I'm attaching here an example, hoping there is a quick-dirty way to do it, maybe one I'm not aware of 🙂 Below is a quick description of the rigging: The CIRCLE NULLs shall behave like hinges (therefore they only allow rotational movement), while the SQUARE NULLs shall also translate on the Z axis to compensate for the rest of the platform. The goal is to only move the red plane on the Y axis and make sure that the support legs tilt accordingly. Thanks in advance to everyone!!! elevator RIG.c4d
  3. Thank you guys!! THe cloner way seems to be effective, too bad i didn't come up with that by myself xD xD
  4. Hi everyone, I'm stuck with an animation I'm trying to pull off. Basically, I made a notebook, which open and closes thanks to a bend deformer. Problem is: I need to attach a null to the front cover because I need to change the "title " of the notebook in after effects. So I parented the null to the open cover, but when the animation of the bend closes the notebook, the null stays in its place. I 'll attach a stripped down version of the scene if I'm not clear. Any tips or suggestions would be welcome 😄 Have a good day everyone. pp.c4d
  5. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if someone has any experience in creating accordion-collapsible style menus in Unreal Engine using blueprints. I'm creating a real time configurator for industrial pumps in UE 5.1 , and I'm struggling with the interface. I'll attach a screenshot of my menu as it is right now, to be clearer. I would like to be able to , for example, make the MATERIALS button expand when clicked, revealing a sub menu of the available materials, while the buttons underneath slide down accordingly. I'm not looking for step by step instructions here ( although it would make me happy lol ) , even a link hitting to some tutorial-link-article about the subject would be great. I hope I've been clear enough, and I apologize in advance if I posted in the wrong section. Bye everyone!
  6. Hello everyone, I have a simple ( I hope ) question regarding cloth sims in C4D 2023. Basically, I have a rotating cube, that is going to collapse revealing spheres inside of it. Problem is, I don-t want this to appen at rame 0, but, say, at frame 25.... and I can-t do it. is there a setting or something?
  7. Sorry I haven't logged in a while for work loads. I don't currently have a video grabbing software to make an explainer, but I'll manage to do it. Anyway, your first sentence is right on point That's exactly what I mean. In my R23, the path does not disappear, I am able to edit my path keyframe and its tangents with no problem. Honestly, it looks like a bug. Maybe I'll just wait for an update and hope it will be fixed, because I can't find a logical explanation to it 🙂
  8. it's not a particular scene file problem unfortunatyely...it happens every time I try to edit an animation path, even if it's a simple cube changing poition 😞
  9. I tried updating my drivers, now, but with no luck. It's driving me nuts 😞
  10. Hello everyone, I'm here with the dumbest qustion ever. I was trying to edit the tangents of a simple animation path to make it curve, but I can't for the life of me getting to actually select the keyframes on the path, and remove overshooting and auto tangents. it used to be so easy in older version, now it's a hell of a nightmare. To double check, I ran the same scene in R23 and it worked like a breeze.I was easily able to selec my points, remove overshooting in the attributes panel, and edit the tangents of my path. Is there some update or change in this workflow I am not aware of? Can Someone please help me ? 🙂
  11. Thank you for your response 🙂 I wasn't complaining, I was just curious because I signed up for tre "basic" membership fee some times ago. I'm talking about the "5euros every six months" one. I was about to renew it, but i just can't find any info on my profile that tells me when I payed, and when will my memership expire. I 've tried looking in my mailbox, but i think i might just have delete it. Nothing important anyway, I love this place and i will support it without doubt. Thank you and have a great day!
  12. Hello everyone, I have a little silly question: maybe I'm just scatterbrained, but I can't get to see information about my memership status, AKA when was the last time I payed it, and when it will expire. Moreover, if I buy a Bronze Contribution , is it like paying a year's membership in advance? Thank you all , guys
  13. Hi everyone, I just installed Cinema 4D 2023.1.3 , and, as usual, I'm about to update Octane , and put it in the plugins folder. Thing is, I seem to have a duplicate folder with an "_w" suffix, which bugs me out. Is anyone able to tell me what it is? Can I safely delete it , or is it better left alone? Thank you!
  14. Thank you! It works like a charm 😄
  15. Hello there, I was wondering if there's a way to select the wireframe color of a group of objects grouped under a Null, instead of going and selecting each one of them and doing it in the basic tab. Or if there's a way to change the default black color of them. I'm doing some architectural work , and having black wireframes over my black reference image is a nightmare. I'm spending too much time changing everything by hand on every single object I create. I hope I'm being clear. And thank you in advance
  16. Hi there! I'm starting to study character rigging and animation. I've been looking for a well-rigged simple human character to reverse-engineer and help me while studying the subject. So far I've only found not-so-good examples, in which the mesh keeps breaking apart as soon as i move a limb. So I'm here asking if anyone has a good base model to pass me, or a link to share, since I've not been lucky as now. I'm attaching a screenshot to let you see the kind of model I'm talking about..don't mind the "Mocap suit", it's not needed. 🙂 Thank you so much in advance!!!
  17. Thank you HappyPoligon, this was exactly what I needed. Didn't thought i could use effectors as deformers. THANKS :DDD
  18. Hi everyone! I need to attach a "video screen" to a series of cloned cubes, affected by effectors. So I am cloning a cube with an external compositing tag set to create a null and a solid for me, which i will leverage inside AE. I'm ok with freezing the cloner to have access to the single cubes, problem is I cannot find a way to mantain the animation given by effectors... I tried looking online, but fond nothing to let me keep my animation intact. I'm leaving a sample scene if it can be of any help. Thank you in advance, bye!! examplescene.c4d
  19. Thank you all three so much for your replies!!!! You gave me some slightly different answers but it's great, by "overlapping" all your hints I'm slowly getting my head around it. I love this forum 🙂
  20. This is interesting VIZN. I'm gonna test it tomorrow since my studio is closing now, still I don't get why it just doesn't read 100*100 but maybe I'm just a bit tired and i need some sleep , I'll make more tests tomorrow morning. Thank you all, so much, for your help !! 🙂
  21. I don't know Cerbera, it seems to me that the coordinates manager refers to an actual size, look at this other screenshot.
  22. Thank you Cerbera. Your reply make sense, but i don't know if it's truly this way. Basically, I was following an Unreal Engine tutorial , where the host uses 3DSmax and its UVW modifier to uniform the size of the texture tiles to 100 cm, and i was looking for a similar thing in C4D. I thought "texture mode " was the answer, but i can't get my head around these strange numbers i'm talking about in the first post.
  23. Hi everyone! I'm struggling to understand a basic concept when using texture mode. I'm gonna attach a screenshot for reference, but basically, C4D keeps telling me my "tile" size is half than it actually is. In the image attached you can see that in the size field it says 50x50x50 while, looking at the grid spacing, is actually 100x100x100. Can anybody explain me why, please? Thank you in advance
