  1. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It was the Axis direction that I did not get correct, after rotating it, all is well. Thank you for teaching me :)
  2. Thank you very much for your response. I suspected this much, but can you tell me how to put it on the right plane? Fixing it for me doesn't really help, unless I understand how it was fixed. Also is there a general rule on which plane the shape vs. the spline should be? Addition to post: I've looked at your fix and it isn't what I'm after. You've deleted the shape spline and added a new one. I've noted in the original post that creating primitives works. I've also noted that this is just a demo and what I am really after is doing a "Edge-to-spline" on a non-uniform edge and then sweep that spline along a path.
  3. I am new to 3D Modeling and I'm having a little trouble with something. I have search online and on this forum, found some suggestions but they did not help. It is probably something very simple to solve and I am just not getting it. Here's the scenario. I have an object that I'm ripping a spline from using the Edge-to-Spline option. Using the spline I ripped as a custom shape, I want to sweep along a spline I drew with the pen tool. However when I try, it ends up being flat. I saw on this forum and other forums that it might have to do with the Axis of the sweep spline. I have tried adjusting but the problem persist. Here's what I'm getting, the desired result should be a pipe-like structure and not a flat band. Note: Sweep Nurbs work fine when using predefined shapes and spline. I've also attached a demo project file with the issue I'm facing. Thanks in advance! sweep.c4d
