  1. Hello all, Im starting to work with substance, but im facing some problems when I export the model from c4d and I think its either with uv unwraping / baking I guess. In this particular example I have a mesh that would work as low poly,which I had uv unwrap, and separated the mesh in some parts so they could fill the same uvw. Then I copied this same mesh and applied with subdivision surface than this would work as high poly mesh. I then export this to substance designer, open the low poly mesh, bake textures with the high poly mesh but then I get this weird artifacts in my mesh. Anyone with experience in this workflow c4d/substance painter that could help me please? I attach some images for help you understand my issue. Thank you very much for your help
  2. I already solve the xref problem, I saved the project with assets again with a different name and place and it works now. thank you!
  3. Thank you very much Fastebee! I didn't knew that I could also open the render client in my local machine, that speed up a lot the render time! Just one more question in case you may know, now the xref objects don't appear in render, and I had already create relative paths, saved project with assets but it still don't show them. What should it be? once again thank you very much for your help

Hello all, Im trying to use Team render to make an animation, using team render client, and besides I don't see any advantages in render times, I notice that when the I render, only the client machine is working and the local (master) doesn't, it does only work when it seems to be uploading the assets. Is that normal?what should I do to ? Im using cinema r20 and corona renderer thank you all
  5. I solved already. I work with corona renderer and I had applied corona materials. However if I turn my render engine in standard and apply basic materials ( non corona ) the texture set list shows with the different selections I have made. Hope that helps someone in future

Hello all, Im trying to export one simple model from c4d to texture in substance painter, and I have tried all the format files, from fbx to obj, and I can not get more than one material in texture set on substance. I have unwrapped the mesh in c4d with different selections, applied different materials with different ids and still export with only one default material. I have tried some help from substance forum and untill now I haven't any answer and I thought that maybe here many of you might have this experience. I would appreciate some help with this, I do not know what I'm doing wrong. I attach some images from c4d and substance to help to show what my problem is. Thank you all for your time and help
  7. Hello all, I have made a library in content browser with my 3d models but I can't drag and drop them into my scene. they only open in a new file. Cant understand what i have might made wrong I attach an image to show the problem. Thank you all
  8. I have solve the problem. The object that I was making a xref it was inside a MultiCloner that was used to distribute some grass. I have that object there by mistake and it was changing some things I guess. I have also the facades and floors in nulls in the xref and that it seems to have some interference in the position, because when I put the floors and walls out of the nulls and make the xref again, there position seems ok. Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your time!
  9. Hello all, Im starting to use xref in c4d and I don't now if im making anything wrong. So, I have a big project of a house and I tried to put the floors and walls in xref, however when I convert the object selection into xref and then open it to edit they are rotated related to the master project.   10. Hello all, How can I preserve the uvs texture in one object? Lets say I have a floor, and I have to edit the poly, and when im moving some points or edges the texture stays distorted. Thank you all
  11. Hello, I have open a fbx file, but I think there is something wrong with the navigation, it seems the orbit is inverted when I go up and down, but in the preferences menu it is all ok. I open a new file and the navigation / orbit is ok, only on these file its still wrong. I appreciate all the help you can give me about these. Thank you very much
  12. Thanks Cerbera. But and if in the hole I wanted to scale/extrude with ctrl+extrude and at the same time the polygons stay align?is it possible? thank you
  13. Hello all, Sorry if the title is not the most correct but I really don't know how to call it. So, I have a cylinder that I'm editing, and I have made a hole on one surface that I want to close and extrude. what happens is when I close the hole, the polygons are not align with the surface of the cylinder. Is there anyway I can't solve this? thank you all
