  1. hi mikeh, no redshift used. everything on standard. thanks for the reply!
  2. I had the problem that the perspective window turned black today several times (Win 10). Redraw command didn't work, changing to 4 windows and back didn't work. Only restarting C4D helped. Downloading and installing the newest Nvidia driver brought no improvement. And am I the only one with the problem that changing the camera via HUD does not work sometimes? If I change from perspective view to 4 views and back it works again, but not for long. But this is no new thing - was in the last few versions too. Simon
  3. try normal map in tangent space. and some kind of soft reflection would be nice (perhaps the "rough"-texture) https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VC4D/V-Ray+Material
  4. Same rendering in my test: R23 - 6 min 22 sec S24 - 5 min 15 sec 🤩
  5. I would like to have the basic stuff adressed, like the annoying windows bug that sometimes the HUD elements don't react to clicking any more and you have to go to the 4 window view and back to perspective view to reset it and make it work again. after almost 20 years of using C4D I really don't know if I want to invest the time in learning the new scene nodes in C4D or change directly to blender. at work i still have to use physical renderer an this feels so terribly outdated. but I don't think anyone at MAXON is working on updating it. we will see.
  6. If you are working with Rhino you do not need AutoCAD or Vectorworks. Rhino is a CAD program and capable of doing solid modeling, exporting production blueprints and everything what is needed to build things. We work a lot with agencies who use Rhino for interior architecture. And Grashopper is a bit like Houdini...
  7. I'm looking forward to R22, when the main feature will be that you can subscript to the plugins of Red Giant also (for about 49 bucks). Sigh.
  8. Why isn't it called 21.2? The last update was 21.1. Doesn't matter anyway. What does "maintained and optimized" mean? Aren't this just the usual bugfixes?
