  1. No, I already applied the texture. It's on the material. When I went to BP UV edit and did, file-open texture, it said it was already in memory. What I need to know is if you're albe to move around the UV of different sections of the model on top of a photo of the texture like Ian Hubert does in that video I attached. thx!
  2. I’m trying to texture parts of an object with a photograph but can’t see where the UVs are in relation to the photo. For instance, in Blender, you actually SEE the picture that’s on the object, and where the UVs are in relation to it. Like in this video by Ian Hubert: https://youtu.be/sr_VVEiKJIQ?t=426 Is there a way to do this in C4D? It’s VERY frustrating not being able to see where I am on the photo when I’m sliding the texture around on the model. Please help! thx George
  3. Hey everyone. I have a strange problem. I had someone create an animation in Matlab of a drone delivering a red box to a doorstep. Everything seemed fine, but when I bring it into C4D, the rope connecting the package doesn't connect. Check out the just uploaded image. But then if I just click on one of the windows in the interface, the rope snaps into place. As you can see in the 2nd image. But then if I actually render the image (I'm using Octane) the error is back. I have no idea what is going on. Any thoughts?? thx! George
  4. I downloaded some amazing Architecture models from Evermotion but they'all in the 'max' file format. Tried looking for a way to convert them to fbx or obj but there don't seem to be good options. Anyway know how to do this?? thx!
  5. Hey Everyone, George here. I'm going out of my mind trying to figure out why my startup layout is stuck to a layout I accidentally selected. In the first image you can see the default startup layout. With a crude model of the solar system. I wanted to change this since I accidentally selected this as the default so I deleted everything I didn't want, went up to "Window, Customization, Save at Startup Layout." Boom. Done. The 2nd picture I've attached shows the new, correct, layout I want. Except it didn't work. When I closed C4D and opened it again it defaulted to the solar system layout. I thought, "hmm, that's odd." Deleted everything, set it up the way I wanted it. did, "Window, Customization, Save at Startup Layout." And that was that. Except it didn't stick. I closed C4D, opened it, and there was the solar system again. I repeated this whole process AGAIN, but to no avail. Then I restarted my computer. Same thing. I'm stuck with the solar system. Does ANYONE have ANY idea why on earth this could possible be happening?? Please help! thx George
  6. Hello Everyone! George was taken so I took 'Bester', after Alfred Bester, the amazing Sci-fi writer. I'm an intermediate/advanced C4D user, but this is the first time I've ever used the forum. For some reason I felt I should try to figure everything out on my own. Until I realized, "Look dummy, why do that when there's a whole universe of cool people who care about the same thing as you, who might be willing to help!" If you're curious you can take a look at my work at: www.georgemoise.com Just wanted to say hello to everyone and tell you how much I appreciate this community! thx George
