Equivilent of Maya Locator objects in C4D

Hi, I hope this is an ok place to ask this question - I am new to C4D - I was wondering if there was an equivalent to Maya "Locators" in C4D - basically a small non-geometry object, which can be exported as an attachment point for things like weapons in a video game. And, if there is, does it export in any of the exporters, such as collada, or so I have to write a script to get it out? Thanks!
