  1. I'm trying to render this simple project (lines emanating from a sphere). It contains a particles-emitter and a tracer (to draw lines) with hair material. In the rendering process the sphere and the scenery are perfect, but the lines (tracer/hair material) are not displayed. Could you guys help me and figure out my mistake? Thank you very much, Eudes. carga-gaussiana.c4d
  2. Hi guys, I’m wondering what would be the most practical way to generate a spring mass network, like the one in the attached figure. I already have a pair of masses connected by a mass (thanks CBR for that!). But when trying to expand this to a 3x3x3 system it got really messy. Any suggestion is welcome! bests, Eudes.
  3. Hi Jed, it worked here, it looks great! Thank you very much. Well, I mix these clips in my video lessons using Adobe Premiere. But, I don't know why, the MP4 output video from C4D is not read directly by Premiere. So I need to convert this video using a freeware program (HandBrake), also to MP4, and it works without loss of quality. Some examples of clips that I produced recently are distributed throughout this video. youtu.be/8RknUxicKSE?t=13 The art, of course, is very amateurish, but the power of 3D animations to teach complex issues is impressive. 4. Hi Jed, after render my project, I realized that the unwanted effect remains. See below how it turned out! An interesting thing is that when I rendered, a single frame, using "Render View" I got a good image. But when I remade the entire animation using "Render to Picture View", helix and spring were out of phase, out of sync. Any suggestion? massa-mola-horizontal.mp4

It's fantastic! And so satisfactory too... My next video will be about waves and something like that sounds great to present and hook the attention of the public. Congratulations! Eudes.
  6. It's perfect! Thank you Jed, someday I'll share with you some of my YouTube videos where I use this simple C4D animations to teach physics here in Brazil! Bests, Eudes.
  7. Hi Jed, thank you for that! it's a smart insight! Just one little thing more. Do you think this strategy would also work for this situation, where I have two blocks oscillating around the center of mass? Again in this case I have not been able to synchronize the movement of the helix with that of the spring connector. Eudes. block-block.c4d
  8. Hello guys, I'm trying to animate a spring-mass system. For this, I used a spring-type connector to connect a cubic block to a helix sweep nurbs. The adjustment of the helix length with the spring deformation was done with Xpresso. Everything was wonderful, except that the mass and the spring are oscillating slightly out of phase (if you look closely, just in the connection between the spring and the block, during the movement, the spring goes in and out in the block). This is physically unacceptable. In all the ways I tried, I was unable to eliminate this unwanted effect. Would any of you have a tip to get around this? Bests, Eudes. massa-mola.c4d

Hi guys, thank you for your help! I managed to do it. Bests, Eudes.

    Damping pendulum

Hello guys, I tried to simulate a pendulum that loses energy and stops gradually, after some time. I managed to make the pendulum using xpresso, as shown in the file below. But I couldn't figure out how to insert some friction to stop the pendulum from moving. Please, any tip is welcome! Thank you in advance. Eudes pendulo-simples.c4d
  11. Perfect Cerbera! The video was very useful. The keyword is "quaternion"! Bests eef
  12. Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out how to girate an object around a generic axis, other than the cartesian ones. My idea is to simulate the Earth's motions. But when I try to girate the sphere, to simulate the rotation, the axis rotates along with, a kind of precession. So, how can I get the rotation axis fixed? Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you so much for your time! Bests, Eudes. equinocio.c4d
  13. Hello Cerbera. Thank you so much for taking your time to help me. Your solution is perfect for my project. With this tip I can explore even more complex types of combinations! One is to test the pulse reflection (see below). If I keep one end of the rope fixed, the pulse should hit and come back. Another proposal, different from this one, would be to generate planar and spherical waves (see below). Could this be achieved using fields?
  14. Hi guys, I'm trying to animate a physical process called wave interference. Two waves propagating in a rope in opposite directions sum each other to double their amplitudes or to annihilate. Something like the scheme bellow. Which are the best tools to simulate this scene? I've try to use some formula, but I'm not managed to get a useful pattern. Does Cinema 4D have any native realistic physics module on wave mechanics? How can we treat phenomena like Interference, diffraction, refraction, transmission and reflection? If not, can you suggest a plugin for me? Cheers from Brazil! Fileti
