  1. Once again I am turning to this forum for a piece of advice. Absolutely painstakingly I have created an animation of two animals I miraculously managed to model and animate. However my luck has run out. Thing is I do not work with underlying understanding of the software, I merely mechanically follow YouTube tutorials. Here's my file, I tried to make it as small as possible: https://we.tl/t-LTEKsy5lFy It shows a deer and a rabbit sitting next to each other: I would like the rabbit to look to the side like this: I achieve this by manipulating his "Head" object. However, for the life of me I can't figure out why it never renders looking to the side in Picture Viewer... I guess my file is an utter mess. Could someone please help? I would be deeply indebted. Emil
  2. Comparing both files, I finally figured out why that happens. Because both of my cans were in a Null that I used to scale them up simultaneously. Problem solved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and willingness to help!
  3. I corrected the size, but there's a persistent problem I can't find a solution for: The upper cup first bounces off the bottom one and then, oh no, it slowly "sinks" into it... What might be the reason for that?
  4. Thank you very much! A friend modelled everything in 3DSMax. I am just moving the camera around and pretend I am "animating"...
  5. Please accept my apologies. Here's the file with no textures, no nothing except for the simulation in question (13 MB): https://we.tl/t-ehWWvLT0me
  6. Thank you Cerbera, your tips are always greatly appreciated. I did what you suggested, but because Use-Margin can't be set to a negative value, seems like the distance between both objects and floor can only increase, not diminish. Duly noting your tip on saving the files.
  7. Hello there, I am a newbie hopelessly trying to figure out why my mesh+cage objects (two paint cans falling on top of each other) happen to have a huge gap between them. There's nothing I can do to reduce to gap. Here's a screenshot: And here's the project file: https://we.tl/t-0Tl2tBskGz Please help! Emil
  8. I figured out how to use the pose library and I think it might save my day 🙂
  9. I created a motion clip by watching how it's done on YouTube. But now I'm completely out of ideas as to how to import this motion clip of the walking deer to the file where the deer is standing. Could you lend me a hand with that? I am struggling for survival 😄
  10. Thank you very much for your reply. I will now need to research how exactly do these two, the pose library and the conversion to motion clip, work.
  11. Hello everyone, With the help of Core4D's community (especially Cerbera) and a lot of elbow grease I managed to create these three scenes: https://www.veed.io/view/4975cd54-244f-4681-8d95-2ac97b78038e?sharingWidget=true https://www.veed.io/view/35623179-c7cd-415b-86ee-4ab32965a266?sharingWidget=true https://www.veed.io/view/ad84a12b-8a65-4a65-9e79-75278693e07b?sharingWidget=true Now I need to make the animals walk to the bench, sit on it, sit there for a while, stand up and walk out of sight. Needless to say, the very thought of going through the process of manually moving their limbs (I am using forward kinematics, mostly due to lack of thorough understanding of how IK chains and generally joints work 😞 ) fills me with dread. My question is: is there a way to fetch some of the keyframes of the deer and rabbit walking and re-use them in the scene with both of them? Pose library? Something? Thank you very much folks. Emil
  12. Thank you, Cerbera. I feel as if I am inviting you to my man-cave... I am positive you will find the file to be an utter mess: https://we.tl/t-ptihFMiUts Still I am grateful for your help. As a side note. I managed to recreate this sketch: in Cinema 4D. I feel mighty proud 😄 Greetings, Emil
  13. Hello there folks, I have a question for you. In this scene there are a rabbit and a deer, both rigged in a similar fashion. However, the joints on the rabbit are visible and thus easier to manipulate (I am using a forward kinematic process, mostly out of ignorance) while these same joints are not visible and I know no way to make them show up. What could be the reason? (here's a screenshot of both animals, not to scale) Deer's object panel: Rabbit's object panel: What might be the reason for that? Greetings, Emil
  14. What that it?! I know you can't feel it, but in this very moment I am sending you all my love...
