  1. Hi, Does anybody know how with C4D we could create web configurators easily as is possible with Keyshot. I am looking for this type of configurators where you can change the product type (Model) and also the details like color, material/texture https://mobboli.com/configurador/chelsea800/configurador/keyshot-configurator.html Thx
  2. Hi Cerbera, Yes I know it is a long stretch to want to convert from Octane to Redshift... I tried the Polligon converter but sadly it gives errors.
  3. I received a file I need to work on with Octane materials. Since I don't have Octane the materials don't show. Is there a way to convert the materials to Redshift? The model is very complex with many materials so manually replacing is not really an option... Thx for any suggestions.
  4. Hi Cerbera, I found an error I made, after making the points to circle, relaxing and distributing points I made another inset as control cut, but made it with Inset tool outwards, it most be done inwards... Rookie mistakes, but these are the best to learn
  5. Hi Cerbera, this works like a charm, I did indeed not know about the Relax and even distribution. This evens the mess out perfectly. Also I learned to plan more ahead so I make my base object correctly segmented for example before making editable. I also found if your segments are as close to square as possible it works best. Is the Shrink wrap method a better way than the project method? Is it more precise?
  6. Hi Igor, Many thanks, that was also what I was thinking about, make the geometry on a flat plane and then use bend deformer to make the cylinder. Thx 🙂
  7. I just found out this will be tackled in the Wolfang tutorials Bezo sent me, let me watch these first 🙂 Sorry guys, but no worries, I will be back with more questions for sure.
  8. Wow great song, greets from a fellow 3D enthousiast from Belgium
  9. Hi guys, I am back with the next question 🙂 I managed the above technique with a 24 sided cylinder as base. But now as you can see I don't get the right size of extrude diameter. I tried to select a 8 by 8 segment but then I can't get the circular base shape due to the subdivisions. How about when I need to get the larger diameter extrusion but still want to maintain more sides to get the smooth cylinder face as suggested? 🤯
  10. Damn you guys, what a great help this is, I was getting close but I started out with beveling a point instead of the inset. I have HB tools so I will start right away and try your method and look at the tutorials as well. I can only say based on this great support for a newbie as myself I am really greatful, as you all can imagine it is a steep learning curve for Poly modeling. I will with pleasure contribute the platform and hope to be up and running with the help of some more advanced members here. Thx again Cerbera and Bezo
  11. I am newbie and trying to model this faucet. But I have been looking at tutorials and looking for a whole day to find the best way to extrude this cross section of the base cylinder shape without disrupting the round shape. i already tried to cut a round hole in the cylinder but this cut does not follow the base round shape. Also with a Boole object I get some nasty results around the area where they meet. Next I tried to shrink wrap a disc on the cylinder as a base but it is very tricky to weld the 2 objects together so this way I get all kinds of pinching and deformations around the area where the meet. Another option I was thinking about was to model the base shape and the cutout flat and then put in a Bend defomer and round it. I would really appreciate some input from some expert modellers how to tackle this kind of extrusion on a round surface. If the extrusion was the same diameter as the base cylinder I found a good solution with 45° cuts from right view but since the etruded cylinder is smaller I can't use this method I guess. Thx for any help 🙂
