  1. Hey there guys, I'm starting a project in C4D tomorrow and it's for a bunch of assets with different dimensions and animations needed. Dimensions: 1 x YouTube Video asset (16:9) 1 x looped video asset (4:5) 1 x Story Version (9:16) Basically, it's an asset where a product is dissected, and I show various materials used in the production process. I need to create two different sets of animations for each dimension - one where the product will be dissected on the Z axis, and one where the product will be dissected on the Y axis. I'm not to knowledgeable about larger C4D projects yet, but I was just wondering how I'd go about this from a workflow perspective. I'm specifically talking about the workflow of handling multiple dimensions and animations, not how to actually dissect the product. I was looking at the Takes system, but I tried it and it seems that you can't access your animation tracks per take, only for the main take? Seems quite limited. Also, I don't believe you can set different dimensions within the Take feature. Any help appreciated, thanks guys. J
  2. Hey there guys, I'm using an Octane Scatter to scatter some Forester plants on the inside of a Microwave for an upcoming project (don't ask, lol). I've been having some problems with the plants clipping through the polygons. I've applied a vertex weight map as you'll be able to see in the project file (layer name in question is 'interior') to exclude some of the outer polygons but I'm still getting some clipping. I've had to reduce the size of the flowers which is a real shame because I wanted them to be noticeable, but as soon as I increase the scale again they start clipping. Any tips to avoid this? 3. Sorry Cerbera, I missed these messages at the time, thank a million for the extra tips. I've actually been following New Plastic for a while. He's really good, I recently signed up as a Patron as well. So much stuff you can achieve with noises in textures! Thanks again for your help, you've been ridiculously helpful here. Have a lovely day. J
  4. Just coming back to say thanks so much @Cerbera! Managed to place my interior panel UV on, and thanks for the bonus modelling tips as well.
  5. Thanks so much for the detailed reply! Got a bit of work to do today then I'm going to have a good look at this in the evening and put some of this work into motion. Seems like there's a lot of modelling issues here as well (I'm literally doing this project to learn modelling so there will be problems) so super useful to know all this. Will feed back later on, and thanks again Cerbera.
  6. Hey y'all! Thanks firstly for being great, I've been learning so much off this forum since joining. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to UV unwrapping, and I'm trying to tackle it for a learning project that I'm on, creating a watch. I've just creating outlines for my UV for the interior, and placed it onto the object. I don't know why, but the texture that I created by outlining the polygons in C4D aren't matching at all when I bring them back onto the object. They're just stretching in a really weird way (see attached for comparison of what I'm getting vs. the UV map I created). The mat is set to UV projection so not sure what's going on. Here's a WeTransfer link to the working files if you'd prefer to have a gander yourself - https://we.tl/t-aAACM3OvJS Cheers, J
