I finally figured out the issue. It was because I am working on a Mac M1Pro Computer, so I needed to start the application with Rosetta. Furthermore I needed to add full permissions to use the plugins from unknown developers. This took a long time to figure out so hopefully it can be useful for someone else with the same issues.
