  1. In the RenderView I get the following: But when I render in the Picture Viewer it is much darker: Do you have any idea why?
  2. Wow, this is really good, but why? how? Thanks
  3. Thanks, 3D pdf, I didn't know that was possible, I'll give it a try. I'll let you know how I get on.
  4. Other than learning Unreal is there an interactive room viewer? I have a client that wants to show an interior to a customer but wants to be able to move around, click on markers etc. Do you know of any way of doing this?
  5. The majority of my work is through C4D, I'm the only one in our very small business using it, It is too expensive for me. I feel I'm stuck with it as I have many C4D project file over the last 10 years that I repeatedly go back to to update or use parts of in newer projects. Plus I don't fancy learning Blender again.
  6. I worked it out in the end, the standard shader doesn't use the color channel like it used to do, and Redshift does. So what I did was copy the Diffuse layer of the Reflectance channel to the Color channel and then get Redshift to convert it. I did some additional tweaks to the brightness and all is OK. It's a shame Redhsift can no loner easily convert standard C4D materials. Here's the final result.
  7. I think you've answered your own question 😀 I'm not sure rendering in the viewport slows it down at all anyway.
  8. I'm trying to create realistic foam in a bath. I created this, which I think is good, it uses Mograph with spheres and a Push Apart effector which worked well. As I need to fill the whole bath surface with bubbles my PC came to a stop so I created a Redshift material instead - but it looks like snow. Any ideas how to create a foamy bath?
  9. I asked him what format he needed and said he'd come back to me, that was 10 days ago, nothing back yet.
  10. Great replies, thanks. I don't do a lot for the client so I wouldn't miss the work too much but there's always the potential for more, but not if i give away the model. Kingcoma, I've never invoiced for 40k before, you have some good clients and do great work by the look of it 😀 I asked why they wanted it and they said "just for some an meeting" whatever that means. I think I really need to charge a lot for the model and just say goodbye.
  11. I have created a 3D model and a few animations for this client. They are asking for the 3D model so they can do some "additions". If I can't persuade them to stick with me, what do you think is a good price for a copyright release?

    Cyberpunk 2077

I'm still playing this game, on my Chromecast and Stadia, loving it and still only just a few bugs 😃
  13. Basically I hd to re-create the materials, just re-import the bitmaps and match them up by eye.
  14. I really like the new C4D grass, I say new as I've upgraded from R19 to R23. I use Redshift as my primary render engine, how do I convert the new grass materials to Redshift, it doesn't appear straightforward.
  15. Thanks, I enjoyed creating it, although the building photogrammetry took an age

    Cyberpunk 2077

I'm playing it, only a few hours in, but it is good. I'm playing on Stadia as I play games in the living room not on my work PC. The graphics are a little "soft" for my liking but I'm well please with it. I've not seen any major bugs yet and it runs really smoothly. Running my own marketing business and having 2 children doesn't give me enough time for game playing unfortunately.
  17. Sorry, I forgot to reply to this. The mesh light in Redshift didn't quite give the brightness I wanted so I ended up keyframing the light, there were about 75 frames so it didn't take that long. Thanks guys for your suggestions 🙂
  18. This is where the light should be But when the lamp is bent the light does not follow
  19. I have a Redshift light inside a model. This model is being bent by the bend deformer but the light does not move with the bend. How do I get it to do this?
  20. Great, thanks everybody. I'm going to look again after the RTX 3000 is released and also look at the AMD Ryzen. I'm so out of touch with all this now, I used to build my own gaming PCs but that was over 12 years ago. I'm thinking I might build it myself, like the good old days 😀
  21. I used to build my own PCs but I'm completely out of the loop now so I'm probably buying an off the shelf PC. I've got a budget of roughtly £1400, how does this system sound? Intel® Core™ i7-10700 Processor RAM: 16 GB / Storage: 2 TB HDD & 512 GB SSD Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8 GB Any advice would be much appreciated.

    A modern kitchen

I sent 3 different images at different angles and now the client wants different coloured kitchen units for each, so extra income 😃 I will do minor tweaks to each now, along with different colours, I'll keep you all posted so you can see the finished images. Thanks once again.

True, usually they don't know what they want until they see what they don't like 🙂

    A modern kitchen

Yeah, I need to work on the view from the windows, I'm not sure why it looks so flat. The client doesn't want skirting or coving, ultimately it's their choice, I suppose!
