    A modern kitchen

Thanks, it's the view the client wants unfortunately, although I will try again to see if they'll budge.

Ha ha, those stools do look too tall. It's amazing how I can see these things now they've been pointed out.

The brick wall, yep I agree, also I don't like the repeating texture, I can deal with that on Photoshop. I agree about the floor too, I'll just do some random tinkering. DOF, good idea. Contrast, possibly, again I'll tinker. I've added some random roughness to the door fronts but don't want to over do it as that's their product. I'll be back with another render. Thanks guys 😃
  4. I would like your opinion on this, I'm not quite happy with it, I don't think it looks real enough. The colour of the doors has to match the sample, which I think it pretty much does, and the layout is set in stone. So it's the lighting and texturing that must be off, do you agree?
  5. I need to supply a client with .FBX files and materials. My project was created with Redshift, how can I convert Redshift to Standard materials, easily?
  6. I've worked it out. I grouped the camera into a Null and scaled down song Object Mode. I asked this question prematurely, but it might help someone else 🙂
  7. I have a project with an animated camera. I just realised that everything was at the wrong scale so I grouped everything into a Null and scaled it down to be correct. This is a technical project and dimensions need to be correct. Unfortunately it hasn't scaled down the camera motion keyframes, is there a way of doing that? Cheers Ash
  8. Thanks, I'll take a look. I've been thinking of when I started Blender and it must be more than 20 years ago not 15 as I said before 🙂
  9. I started with blender mayber 15 years ago, it was great then. I moved to C4D shortly after as it was much more user friendly. I am still on C4D R19 as I don't really need the new updates and don't want to spend much more money on it. I would consider going back to Blender but I don't know if my 48 year old brain can be bothered learning new stuff. Oh the dilemma!
  10. I think it will be great for quick jobs or where I can't be bothered with optimising
  11. I made this comment on your YouTube channel... It works really well, I set my Dome Light samples to 1, GI to 1, Unified Sampling to 1, but with Auto Sampling the render was perfect. I tried a couple of scenes that I'd previously setup and one had gone from 3m47s to 6m37s to render, and another up from 17s to 1m7s. So not ideal if you have an animation at the render farm
  12. You can of course use a title shift camera, just search for title in the content browser

Inspirational, very artistic, I'll give up now 😉

    Google Stadia

I have found no noticeable input lag, and yes, I come from console land but I don't think frame-rates are ever as low as 30fps, are they? Nothing I own is physical, just about every film I "own" is either on Amazon or Google, and all my games are PS4 downloads. I play on my TV so don't really want to buy a gaming PC and Monitor, I already have a work PC and don't use that in my freetime. I can't see why you'd want game streaming to crash and burn, it just could be the future.

    Google Stadia

I've got roughly 65m broadband and the wifi router is in a different room, it works perfectly. I have read lots of negatives but it's early days and most are overblown in my opinion. I can just imagine paying a subscription to it and C4D instead of spending thousands on a decent PC with good graphics cards

    Google Stadia

If you don't know Google Stadia is a games console in the cloud, I've been playing it most of the weekend and it works perfectly. I was thinking if it can run games that well over wifi it can certainly run C4D, do you think you'd pay a subscription for this kind of thing?
  17. I've created this with Voronoi, at the minute the smaller ones are there because I've set the Distribution Type to Exponential. I'd like to more easily control smaller pieces at the top with a step effector. Later on I will need to create different areas with smaller sizes of fracture. I'm completely new to Voronoi so any pointers will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, the image has changed a little since last I showed it:

I've just started this for a client, any comments will be gratefully received.
  20. Thanks danijelk, I,ve already removed the glass and am using Iradiance Cache as Primary but changing secondery to Photon and making buckets bigger has reduced render time to nearly 6 minutes. Thanks
  21. Thanks, the client seems happy too. I'll take a look at ebay today :) I decided not to put glass in the windows, there seemed little point as you'd not notice, and I thought it would speed things up. Cheers Ash
  22. Thanks Igor MikeA, I just ran the benchmark, 29 minutes, pretty slow but probably as expected. I adjusted Max Subsample Intensity, and yes, that fixed it, big thanks there. I tweaked the sampling one light at a time and changed the GI from Brute Force to Irradiance and now the render takes 7 minutes . Thanks Ash
  23. This is my first interior using Redshift, it took an age to render on my ageing GTX970, 17 minutes. I'm pretty sure I've tweaked it enough to render as fast as possible. I'm still get aliasing on the bright shutters, not sure why.
  24. Can you convert this for me? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qMytQHSCDN00TFL9s2AqyoFiU_bwT16G Thanks Ash
