Yes, as I mentioned the asset in your version is still not updated :) If you are up to some manual work then do the following: - Right click on patterns generator and convert asset to group - Enter that group - Enter the first group node (will be called with fancy letters and numbers) - In that group there are "pattern" and "hollow groups - Enter each separately and delete projection node in both
  5. We opted for this move just lately and was nowhere near our minds during R20 trainings we released. The thing is that now we have some form of support that enables us to make all current and future content free. Of course, we do have something up our sleeves for old customers but this hasn't still matured and I can't announce it yet :)

  8. You have the circle node set to solo in your scene, however there was a pattern node issue that is already corrected and will be a part of upcoming SP3. In meantime you can dive into pattern generator node and correct it. To do so, convert the circle asset to group then locate patterns for circle node and UV node, can't recall from top of my head where the issue was...

  11. Oh, I thought you wanted to create gradient per face, oops my bad. PolyFX creates clones from faces. Vertex maps are therefore a bit troublesome since surface is discontinued. For what you want, I would say best route is use Fracture. Check the attached file :) PolyFX_color_variation_0001.c4d
  12. We changed it to "Cafe regular", hope that is generic and neutral enough for most people. We got some really good suggestions (Cafe Padawan, Cafe Addicit etc :P )

  15. Hi and to the Cafe Usually X particles questions are more quickly addressed on their support forum, however they do answer here also but you will probably have to wait for a working day... I am not familiar with them, but first thing that pops to mind is to ensure that your csv file is using formal definition as described by their documentation?   16. It's always best to leave the workflow and mindset of another application behind once you start with new one :) 1. If I recall correctly, most of the people preferred to have polygons render always... something that you can use is to apply completely transparent material and load a selection into it, although I would prefer hidden polygons not to render too. 2. Not sure what is troubling you but keep the following in mind. If your selection tag is active, anything you have selected at that moment and you hit "set selection", that is exactly what will be stored. If you want to add to selection, simply double click the tag and then use shift or ctrl clicks to add or subtract from selection, then hit "set selection" again. If you want to make a new selection make sure no selection tag is selected so that new one is created. 3. Keep in mind that you are disabling the object in viewport, so you can't select it in viewport but you can through object manager which is not the same. You can of course enter component mode but this should not automatically unhide the object. Imagine you click in empty space in viewport when you have a couple of hidden objects while you are in component mode and they start appearing and you hid them to access other objects? that would not be fun :)
  17. There is a falloff setting in sound effector you can use. For your case, I would say something between 80-90% value will do :)
  18. PolyFX doesn't support colors, however, given that you have R20 you can create vertex maps with field, so simply convert your mesh to polygons and use vertex map with field. Then you can render out the vertex map as you want...
  19. Folks, we will change that. From English speaker point of view it doesn't have the same tone and meaning as we intended during direct translation. However we have to have (for easier database maintenance and similar) some sort of grouping and we are open to suggestions :)

  21. argh, simply had to try this one I believe this is what you are after. At this point it is polygon size based, so when you change the height and width of plane primitive you also have to change the height and width in Node mat. Hope this helps :) Random_ori.c4d
  22. Ah, I see what you are after. You could use render object node (apply the node mat to poly object), grab polygon ID and use it as seed for multishader node. There set 4 colors and this will give you random set of 4 colors per face - would that work for you?
  23. We understand that this may cause some discomfort for people that bought these trainings earlier, however there are two advantages you want to consider from now on. First is, you gained knowledge earlier than people that have access to them now, and second even more important, you will not have to purchase anything more in future and will have access to new trainings. We were searching for a way to make trainings free and still get some revenue, and hopefully through youtube that will become possible.
  24. I don't get this part :) The thing is, you will have trouble offsetting sounds since effector won't work in this situation, thus you will have to use Xpresso. Here is a simple generic setup which can hopefully help you out and steer you in right direction Simple_rack.zip
