  1. Yes, if you use Voronoi to break them. For example, if you "fracture" cloner, detailing and all other stuff will work on clones Not yet Hardware Renderer is exact OpenGL viewport and all it's capabilities can be rendered. Viewport doesn't have Motion blur and it can't be added as post effect. But good idea, maybe this can change in future. See above, anything that works in viewport can be rendered. Here is a screenshot of renderer.
  2. Unfortunately some things didn't make it into R19, most importantly SSS, however, I would say it is 90% complete at this point and more than enough for almost all tasks. With that being said, it will mature in future releases, both feature and performance wise.
  3. No special machines or cards, mainstream gpu cards can handle that
  4. Where did you read this? Of course it supports procedural shaders such as noise etc
  5. Performance is the key here, even in the areas where you don't expect it. For example, let's say you load a video file into a material, apply to some geometry. Upon playback, R18 and prior release would struggle and had to do one pass to cache it, now it is all nice, smooth and fast from very start :) Of course, it was designed with having difficult areas in mind :)
  6. Ah, finally I can speak about some stuff :) First, let's resolve the falloff object thing that was seen in video prior to release. It was moved there since Fracturing now supports falloff, it was simply renamed to suit the purpose. Now, many people are excited about ProRender and various other stuff, but for me personally I am very happy that finally we have first tangible results from core tech. Those would be the viewport enhancements and you got to love the eye candy. I want to mention that all the effects run totally smooth on my machine which has mid level gaming graphics card. Second, the introduction of first version of modelling kernel and my favorite of all time, complete new media session core interface. That thing brings massive performance increases when working with images and videos inside whole C4D and is completely independent from OS stuff. For example, if you load high res mp4 video on PV in R18 it will crawl, in R19 it flies. Same with other large image & video data. This is the jewel I am expecting people to "discover" once R19 is available to them.
  7. As far as I recall, the original idea behind labeling releases 0.5 and 1 was not to have big number in version
  8. New lesson (Class 09) is in works and will be available this week :)
  9. Maybe something is lost in translation, the falloff that was temporary in MoGraph menu is now at the same location it was (CA menu), nothing else :)
  10. Folks, there is no falloff object in R19 in MoGraph menu, the screenshot from video was taken in earlier version where some menu items were simply shuffled. That falloff object is exactly the same as the one in CA menu.
  11. @RLaskey LOL You made my day - thanks for that!
  12. That was simply experimental, maybe even happened unintentionally. It is the same falloff object from CA menu
  13. That is the same falloff from CA menu, there was some shuffling going on, nothing new :)
  14. oops, well, I am not sure if that was intentional or not but seems that Cat is out of the bag on that one :)
  15. @arail Srek decided to step down mostly because it was impossible for him to attend two forums and his expertise was needed on projects which demand his full capacity. I think there are good chances he will become active on Cafe once he gets some time and space
  16. Aha! Now we know what you love in C4D that keeps you around :P Yes, I would dare to say that C4D UX department is excellent given that I know all the people that are there. Most of them are super experienced C4D users with long history in real production.
  17. UX is well staffed with excellent people there. Not sure why you think one can simply pick someone "from the street" regardless of how good designer he or she is? You can have a brilliant designer who has no clue of the topic he is designing for, then you have worse possible results. @3D-Pangel That house has a pool and is partly office space. The main office building is across the road. Company is quite modest in appearance as oppose to some others, which most people prefer.
  18. I am sure @Icecaveman will also not resort to personal level. Folks, we should be proud with Cafe since it has certain level of acting politely as oppose to some other forums. Let's keep it that way :)
  19. Folks, heated discussion and exchange is fine, but let's keep it civil and without personal insults. @Cutman Insulting members in such manner can and will result in ban if continued. You are better than that...
  20. @Fastbee You are assuming developers actually do the design, which is not true, even though some contribute to design. Even the smallest companies have design teams :)
  21. Folks, let's try and keep it nice, I know this kind of topics can become heated very quickly. If we turn this into bashing we are simply discouraging people who can tell something about future to post @Cutman I didn't say you were troll, I said some people could perceive you as such Regarding C4D version info for members, it helps a lot when someone is assisting you (so it can propose solutions in that scope), or when someone is hiring you etc. Useful in multiple ways, and even though it is a rule it is a "mild" rule.
  22. New lesson in works, will be available this week. We will do some light python again :)
  23. Folks, unfortunately neither Fritz or me can't disclose information apart from what is known already, regardless of our enthusiasm and passion. It has been like that for years and we must respect company policy. What I can assure you that we are not crazy (at least Fritz isn't :P) and along with a lot of other people in MAXON is that we are not delusional and know what is needed to stay competitive on highest level.
