  1. @Havealotthank you for writing this detailed explanation up. Helped me with the current project I'm working on. Cheers, Chris
  2. I'm using the vibrate tag from the original rig you generously helped me out with and sometimes I'm finding I'm needing to time remap some of the animation so was looking to bake it and either time track the bake or use the time remap function in the alembic. Just tried to bake the connect object using Alembic and it works a treat so I'll use that solution 👍 As always thanks for helping me out Cerbera.
  3. So put the loft under a connect and then tried to PLA bake that through the timeline and it just creates another copy of the object with no keyframes. Is there another way I should be trying to bake it? Thanks, Chris
  4. I'll give that a go now and post if it works. As always thanks Cerbera.
  5. Hi All, Can anyone explain the best process to bake the loft animation in the attached file. As the loft object doesn't produce any vertex information PLA baking doesn't work so not sure what the best process is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris Loft_Bake.c4d
  6. Hi Cerbera! This setup is working great but wondering if you know a way that I can bake the Loft objects animation as I want to slow it down etc.? Having trouble as the loft doesn't have any vertex information so can't PLA bake it etc. I did find an old video where he used a connect object with a correction deformer and xpresso but thinking there must be a simpler way? Thanks again for your help. Chris
  7. Amazing Cerbera, I'll have to look into updating to S24 currently on R21 as I'm a stickler for stability. Yes was thinking to stack up some more of the actual rigs to get more crazy detail in them. Will post some renders and updates once I get into it! Thanks again.
  8. Thank you Deck for your reply I did try a spline wrap initially but it didn't quite look right. Cerbera that's exactly the way I was trying solve it but couldn't quite get it to work! Thanks for the detailed write up and also the file. Your a legend. Thanks you both again for helping me out! Cheers, Chris
  9. Hi, Wondering if anyone has some ideas on how best to start creating something similar to the attached in C4D? Texturing with a fresnal shader should get me the look but just getting some setup (tracer maybe?) to create the organic geometry that I can animate on and off is proving to be a bit of a head scratch. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Chris
  10. Thanks again for your help Cerbera. Attached render of finished Bat. Cheers, Chris
  11. Wow Cerbera, thank you so much for taking the time to go through this. So many great techniques like the bevel so we don't get poles. Is there was an option on the Cafe to buy someone a beer? 🍺 Thanks, Chris
  12. Hi Adrian, Deck & Cerbera. Thank you for all your replies and tips. Carbera I'll go back to the drawing board and try tackle it using your technique with the plane as I started that way but as you said I thought it was too high resolution to be manageable. Will post an update with how I go. Wish me luck 🙂 Cheers, Chris
  13. Hi All, Wondering if someone can help me with a modelling question I have doing this tennis bat. Image attached. (Please note I don't need the arrows inside the grill) I've polygon modelled the outside structure and the grill separately as attached image. I'm wondering what the best way is to get the grill structure added to the outside structure with proper edge flow etc? Manually add in cuts to the outside? I've also attached my C4D file with my process showing the steps I've done as well. I seem to always get to a point with modelling stuff and hit a wall! Thanks in advance for any help or tips. Cheers, Chris Bat_Model_Help.c4d
