  1. I've read through this "guide" already, but it's simply a compiled general overview of general usual ways to uninstall apps. Cinema seems to manage it differently. I clearly noticed there was some "uninstall" component added while I installed it, but I can't find where it's placed and how to use it. I'm almost certain there is a way, but can't figure it out.
  2. I've got C4D R21 on MacOS. I wrecked something up and it doesn't start, for some reason - even after re-installation. I want to wipe it and install freshly once again. But the problem is - there's no uninstaller 🤨 How can we uninstall Cinema 4D on a Mac? Seems a stupid questions, but I'm confused
  3. An ostentatious lack of devs' attention to Timeline and many more areas needing urgent fixes for many releases already simply ruins all my hope for C4D future. I can't get what Maxon think about... Simply WHY? Making it Adobe way?
  4. I wonder, would anybody ever notice this problem?? 🤨
  5. I do wonder - didn't really anybody had such problems? Am I the only one who needs such things?
  6. I've got Asus Zephyrus G14. It has surprisingly bad trackpad, but it's supported by those very Microsoft precision drivers. And they DO NOT give an option to middle-click and drag. Click by itself is present, but it's not full-featured click'n'drag as it should be
  7. I'm having currently a tunnel syndrome so mouse is painful to use for me. Also I'm always on the go so trackpad is essential. I used to use a notebook with a basic two-button Synaptics trackpad and RMB+LMB was the MMB, very handy. I made many projects with that. Now I'm on the Asus G14, it has a single button, very hard to press, overall trackpad experience is "meh... 😐". Gestures are utterly clunky, stepped, I can't zoom. Timeline gives no chance to interact with itself with trackpad. It's just horrendous! I tried 1/2/3 buttons. Seems nice, until you realize you have to toggle one of those AND PRESS DOWN trackpad. That's very cumbersome too. And... That's all. No way to use C4D on trackpad at all? Seems very stupid, especially considering "touch support" which is very limited and weird though. How to overcome this, what's a solution? I can't believe - a decade old machine is better for work than brand new top of the line laptop. There should be a fix I bet! I'm "ok" if there's a C4D internal solution but better if it's possible to add MMB support system-wide finally. Please help!
  8. I took a deeper look at nodes. And here the things are harder to judge. I think that's a great system and I feel much sympathy to it's creators. But while it's not yet production-ready and we don't yet know how to utilize that, I think of more primitive things. Simply - what does this release give to my workflow? What does it really fix? And despite I see a revolution in nodes, I see no evolution in vital places we spend the time doing our work. Despite they're pretty easy to clean-up. So a vera controversial feeling emerges. Like there are two different worlds - of our work, and of development plans. Weird. About like in After Effects, but their devs just s*** on users for years, and every release is a laugh. Not quite, but close to it
  9. Well… The novelties I saw in R25 seem a bit random. Like the team fixes and brings up some minor tweaks and cool little features but not even talking about magistral pathway of the program. Like «it’s all done, folks!». I think not quite. I was waiting since R17 for something of a different level of continuity - like «everything a mograph». AT LEAST make effectors affect not only mograph objects, but any parameter of any object for the beginning (so long awaited). Than, as I imagined could be a great idea, - make effectors procedurally affect animations, a little like 3ds Max's animation controllers which you can stack up. Than low-level geometry modifications (kingda implemented in nodes, but nodes themselves…). Instead of that - old problems and outdated solutions are still there full height tall. Like timeline - that’s sometimes painful to use when you do something serious as I do. It’s sluggish, it’s limiting, has absolutely no proceduality. I tried Blender - oh man… I cried. You showed some nice things. But why, WHY NEGLECTING IMPORTANT THINGS? It doesn't force you to rewrite a core or something like that, some very easy things and tweaks to ease our life. I even wrote all that you need to fix in my UX improvement list you completely discarded. Multicore utilization? Doesn’t seem to be there. UI? Not bad, but thin-stroked icons are now much harder to see. Seems the Adobe subscription mode took the power over you and all we get is a slow decline. That’s what we’ve been afraid of
  10. I wish it would be a massive Timeline overhaul. It REALLY NEEDS ATTENTION. It's old, clunky, outdated. I feel it's more and more time and power-consuming to do there something after I once worked in Blender. Also I'm highly concerned with the degrading software quality and stability. I rarely get my r21 to crush (only while scripting and because of my own fault) but R23 already is considerably worse. It has a lot of bugs (in dynamics cache, extrude generator etc) and... it crushes! Just for no reason. I don't know why, but it's much less reliable. I was afraid it would happen, as well as development stagnation, right when devs told us about subscription options, and... It actually happens now 😞
  11. I need to see how it exactly must work out, but I think I can help with that https://www.behance.net/ambiclusion https://vimeo.com/ambiclusion https://www.instagram.com/ambiclusion
  12. I quite enjoy such things, write me back if there's still a need https://www.instagram.com/ambiclusion/ https://www.behance.net/ambiclusion
  13. I can do it with ease https://vimeo.com/308878899 https://www.behance.net/ambiclusion https://vimeo.com/ambiclusion https://www.instagram.com/ambiclusion
  14. There's no rig at all 😄
  15. Hi! There's nothing difficult there, that's simply a few vibrate tags to add the shake and cloth sym with the wind. That's all)
  16. Let it be me https://www.behance.net/ambiclusion https://vimeo.com/ambiclusion https://www.instagram.com/ambiclusion
  17. .res file contains interface descriptions/layout/UI elements ids, but all of this is used internally by the code which we don't have access to and can't, as far as I know, interact with it. Simulating clicks might be possible, uncertain, but there are too many problems with such approach even if it can be done from C4D (I hugely doubt modal dialogs can be handled this way, I think no). Maybe in-built feature "bake as alembic" would help you? It should work with splines well. If so, that's all you need
  18. Hello There are some moments which matter - is the command you want to call listed in Shift+C Commander list/menu? Does it leave some trace in script listener? If neither of this is true, I doubt it's accessible from outside of the plugin, at least I'm uncertain if there is a way to reach it. Than, is there a way to save the file without Save As... dialog? If not, there might be a problem. Seems there's no documented ways to interact with the plugin (SDK has only guide editing functionality for custom brushes) so only tricks will work I guess..
  19. r21 introduced a much enhanced multitouch trackpad support on Macs (if in previous versions it ever existed at all). It's much nicer, but... Not quite usable. Look, to move viewport now you have to alt + two finger move, to zoom - alt + pinch, to orbit... alt + CLICK. When you do something homogenous you quickly use to it and changing behaviour becomes a pain. Here we have to switch the way of operation (just moving fingers and clicking is vastly different here). It's inconsistent, forces to remember what you should do every time and makes a good concept not so nice at all. I think that should be MUCH better, simply excellent if you wouldn't have to click - ALT should enter you into navigation mode, so you only need to move the finger. I know there's a alt+RMB to select "throught" the object. But it's relatively rarely used (despite very handy) and can be re-assigned to another modifier key without a hassle. MAXON, please, consider this. It would be wonderful! And, I see Macs becoming a joke not really worth looking into anymore if you actually work, so I think the flee to PC will increase more and more. Windows precision driver allows good multitouch support on many different devices. Please, consider porting this principle into Windows version, I do ask.
  20. But that's hard to understand. It's not a random example I mentioned - Adobe. They didn't listen at all and they still don't. Remember (if you're into the topic) a decade-old request to add folders into timeline. It could be as easy as showing a nested composition content in the containing composition timeline. And you know what? Nothing. They never ever listened to users and a few hundreds requests they made. So don't get me wrong, but... I wish I could take a part Yep, this pretty much means "forget it". Also, I do appreciate the returning of trusty offline help, but do you remember how much fight it took? I know as I was one of the most active in the thread and started that "oh no, don't turn Adobe" topic. Get me right, I do respect developers team and I objectively value C4D as one of the most solid and "human for human" pieces of software, but we are afraid not without a cause. I totally get it. So I don't even try to propose the things could be so hard to implement, mainly I focus on UI logic. There are some thought on conceptual basis of animation, for example, but I understand how hard it could be to add or change. I pretty much completely forgot there could be a plugin to fix something since I left 3ds Max ;D Thanks for the proposal)
  21. I do so because I and many of my colleagues stumble on those things regularly. I spend a majority of my worktime in Timeline. And dope sheet often becomes very messy. For example, when I select an object there, all the children are selected too with all the keys they have. So I can't conveniently move parent's keys not touching children. And it has no logic behind - we can select all the children and parent with a single middle click. Now I have to tackle freaking rectangle selection every time which makes me mad often! Also, I can't make children keys not appearing on the parent, so I see a total mess on it's track, not the keys belonging to parent object solely. Soloing track animation does not respect the fact I might need other objects to keep moving. Also, it I'm in solo track mode and add than some more tracks, they are muted - confusing. Folding and unfolding isn't synchronized between selected objects. When I press play and go back (Shift+F) playback isn't stopped! It might be useful sometimes, but there's no option to turn it off when it disturbes. No colour-coding for keys. "Keep visual angle" is buggy and isn't on by default (when disabling it is a rare need), curves control isn't very friendly overall. And so on and so on.. It's all trifles, but they make my work much worse. And I have much more to say, but I'm in doubt is anybody listening.
  22. You're right, I understand how complex such projects are and how slow new ideas drift into a way to implementation. However, many of my thoughts were much simpler than those things you may imagine, I consciously don't propose any vastly new features, many of proposals are more like a bugfixes to UI logic which could be fixed with a few lines of code literally. However, I've got absolutely no answer, despite many of those problems are very annoying and really worth developers' attention.
  23. Despite there is such page, I'm feeling like nobody is reading and nobody is interested in any thoughts from users anymore. I wrote a hefty list of things to consider improving a half of a year back and sent it through: mail, your HR mail, this forum, MAXON FB page, a MAXON employee which has been recently on CGEvent to gather some fresh thoughts and opinions from local community. What feedback got I? None of it. At all. It resembles me a story when I tried to push my UX report on Photoshop and it's future through Adobe bureaucracy almost 10 years back, trying to reach the very John Knoll and using my acquaintance with Jaison Levine, and the best answer I had was smth like "we are not interested". So PS hasn't evolved a bit in the direction it should since than. I don't want MAXON to become the same junk company. Please, no!
  24. I use Start8 on 8.1 quite happily, but not the start menu is what bothers me, many more things are quite distracting, such as short support time (even for ltsb release), bloatware flooding services and autostart and collecting quite a lot of my information I don't want to share with anybody, constant updates installing in the most unwanted moments and breaking many things, ruining speed/stability, inconsistency of the ui/ux, settings which are buried somewhere or disappear even (system administrators cry here) and so on... Yeah, there are workarounds, but I don't want to mess with all that bs as long as I can
  25. Guys, as a huge disliker of Win 10, perpetual never ending updates, bloatware, spyware and all the rest of Redmond fun, I preffer to stay on old trusty sysytems as Win 7. And now the support for C4D was officially dropped. But unofficially... 😄 DISCLAIMER: I work on pretty much fully updated Windows 8.1. If you're on Windows 7 some additional updates might be needed, at least make sure you're on SP1. If you have problems, post below. So... Download an official installer. Install Microsoft Application Verifier https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20028 Add C4D setup there, uncheck "basic", dig into "compatibility" and check "HighVersionLie", RMB on that select "Properties", type in there: Major version: 10; Minor version: 0; Build number: 18362 (latest currently available). Save. Start the installation ??? Profit! I also have a workaround for AE 2019 (not 2020 sadly) but I doubt it's up to this forum. But if you ask... And, MAXON, I do wish, even considering you most probably won't re-visit your decision to drop Win7 support, let us to use this hack in next releases please! Win 7 is still the only choice for 40% of users, it's the only trusty Windows out there yet, as well as MacOS 12/13. I don't want even touch Mojave, not speaking of horrendous Catalina 😄
