  1. If the end result doesn't have to be hi-res/poly, you could use a volume builder+mesher and make an alembic of that. If textures are also needed, you could bake it on top with a texture tag. If it's not a super long sequence, and the mesh not too hi-poly, you could bake the mesh to point level animation. If you do need exact results, i suggest try dropping the mesh without joints in a "connect" object, and then make an alembic of that. Options depending on what might work or what information you need to pass on to X-particles. Good luck!
