  1. My experience: Embergen is a wonderful tool. It's super-performant, has modern UI/UX and it produces fantastic results. While it's fun to use and play around, interoperability with other apps is quite cumbersome and error-prone. Pyro is surprisingly performant as well, but it's not a looker in the viewport like Embergen. Final results are in the same league, though. Pyros huuuge benefit is being natively in the scene. Interaction with other objects is easily achieved and iterated upon. The overall believability of your scene improves much faster this way. Personally, I was a huge Embergen-fan, but I haven't touched it anymore since Pyro blazed on stage 🙂

  3. Here is a fun one - Hilbert curve! Appears as a regular spline primitive in OM A single control for depth is available Graph is a bit more involved 86_Hilbert_Curve.c4d

  4. Wow! I thought you were talking about one-wheeling. Electric unicycling is like drag racing compared to one-wheeling. No wonder the heavy protective gear....either that or you are really Daft Punk!!! If I may, I was fortunate enough to sample Cerbera's musical compositions and they blew me away. I thought nothing could outshine his modeling talents. Well, I was wrong. Dave

  7. Hi, Im looking for a smoke simulator where you can control the shape of the smoke or have it emit from an object. Which ones should I look at that doesn't have a huge learning curve? Is Tutrbulence FD still good? Thanks

  8. Yikes. Hopefully not everyone will go the AI route. I'm pausing my C4D sub in March for a month or two at most (first 12 month sub finishing), and restarting it again in May. Gives me time to catch up on some other work, and then can go back into another fun 12 month sub right after.

  9. Despite all the fabulous and fast new methods Cinema offers, traditional SDS modelling will still produce the nicest and most usable result here. I can certainly help with that if you are struggling, either with general pointers and advice or step-by-step over skype if you would prefer a high-detail in-depth version... the latter can't be free alas, but is there as an option if you would like it... please pm me if so... 10. The Pyro engine in Cinema4D is decent and easy to use. https://www.maxon.net/en/cinema-4d/features/pyro You could also try Embergen, my personal favourite. It's a stand alone real time simulation software. It can import FBX animations and use objects as emitters or colliders. You can either render directly the simulation in Embergen (with all the necessary passes for compositing) or export the VDB volumes. https://jangafx.com/software/embergen/
