  1. This really sounds astonishing. small chip with little cooling, first generation. we will see how apple manages to develop this in the future. Lets see how much a upgrade to a 128 Gig Ram chip will cost 🙂

  2. Update. So I downloaded and updated to the latest MAXON release and the latest NVidia Studio driver release. Everything was fine after the C4D install but after I installed the latest NVidia driver only one of my 1080Ti's was recognized. After a ton of reading and experimenting I went into Device Manager, found the GPU that was having issues and ran a Windows Update Driver and it fixed it. As for the weird lines in C4D. I got a reply from MAXON saying that they have seen this happen when MSI Afterburner is installed. So I deleted that program and I haven't seen it happen as of the writing of this post.

  3. Thank you for the reply. Can't believe I didn't see this! PS: sorry for the duplicate threads, I didn't notice it was moved somewhere else (thought it was a bug).

  4. Here's my go at it. It's kind of similar to an exercise in the School of Motion Ascent class (which I highly recommend) so was good practice for me 😄 Unfortunately the Volume Mesher route is chunky in size and difficult to get the pointy edges

  5. here's a displaced noise version, endless possibilities between changing the various distortion noise settings. This one isn't quite as pointy but you could probably address that with the gradient before doubling up the Knots 10 times or so. This gradient is very even. Maybe even some bigness and contrast over the top of the gradient / distort, possibly even feathered in and out with a layer mask. A fun thing for just a few minutes set up.
