  1. Very good solution ! But cutting by spline shapes for such problematic polygons still not work. Also there is a bug in this situation because "restric to selection" doesn't work correctly for this type of polygons. I reported this with videos.
  2. Connect Points/Edges m-m is better for that to prepare n-gons before using standard knife.
  3. LightWave 3D attached. As I know Blender knife works fine with n-gons too. Cinema's knife needs to make "Remove N-gons" before cutting such points heavy polygons. Knife_LightWave3D.zip
  4. Most buggy knife tool in the industry. Please see attached video. I just don't know what to say... Generally knife tool has serious issues while cutting n-gons. C4D_knife_ngons_issue.zip
  5. There is plugin Instanify where you can temporary switch between instance and main instanced object to edit it directly in the same place. "S" - scrool directly to object has one bad behavior - it not center object on the list but it is awlays at the end part of the Object Manager list - so its children are always invisible.
  6. Octane has Chaos node for this. There is also great plugin SotfPatch ( part of Q-Ilte but with standalone version too ) : Q-TILE-PRO | advanced tile shader system - 3D TOOLS dot INFO
  7. Is there way to apply Capsule to multiple objects at once - from Browser or by copy-paste from Object Manager ?
  8. Strange, It works fine now even with no tag. I had probably something worng in previous version of my nodes.
  9. Yes but I mean that if node has selection that not exist in current model it still work but wrong - it select randomly edges for example. I have node for automatic creation of some windows types only from edges. Some window types has elements that other don't have. If there is no selection tag, node should do nothing. For example : If there is no IN2 edge selection tag this node should do nothing instead of extruding wrong, random edges.
  10. Thank you. I forgot about this feature. It works great even for move tool selection if null has icon. But polygon selection option turned on override possibility to select nulls that way.
  11. Great, thank you. But as I see there is no node like edge slide but "sliding" one edge it probably can be done using Transform Element node. Also I found very bad selection system behavior. If there is no named selection tag in model, nodes that use it works as "default" selection. It cause errors and problems if we build node system with some options depends on geometry selection tags. Such nodes should do nothing if selection tag not exist. I tried empty selection tag but it not work. Or maybe there is way like "boolean ask" if selection tag exist or not and redirect node flow to different node network parts ?
  12. Thank you for info I will try. With larger scenes and deep hierarchies there is faster to do selection directly in viewport. But I found script to select parent and have it in shortcut so Null-parent can be selected by that way.
  13. Yes, rectangle selections and other works but they also select all objects behind. I mean select by move tool cursor.
  14. Hello, is there way to select nulls ( that are my hierarchy parents ) directly in viewports by mouse ? I tried to add icon shape, increase radius but there is no way to select them directly. I don't want to select children that I have protected from selection.
  15. Hi, Is there any node like Edge Slide or Edge Bevel which support selection tags ? There is Inset node but it can read only polygon selection tag - not edges. I can't find any to make things like :
  16. Why not to use Cloner Sort mode with proper effector ?
  17. AR_RemoveEmptySelectionTags.py from aturtur/cinema4d-scripts: My collection of Cinema 4D scripts (github.com)
  18. Is there way to use such nodes as capsules to make it more real scene friendly rather than build objects in scene nodes editor ?
  19. It doesn't work because of changes in Python 3. In attachment is converted version for Python 3 that works fine in R25 vonc_pipemat.zip
  20. Patreoning give such great people some money to spend free time to give us such great scripts like this. 2-10$ per month is not a fortune. Also Cairyn has more powerfull scripts on his Patreon.
  21. Good idea 🙂 I'm came from Lightwave too and always thinking why Cinema doesn't have such tools natively. And also - move selected points to last selected point position by X Y or Z axis - it was very helpful in Lightwave too.
