  1. what random effector? I don't see anything with that name in XP, but i'd like one. in the group settings, or if you don't have a group the emitter, you can set random size with the radius variation.

Lol I thought they were going to have a big 'NO wrong section' at the end.
  3. Hi, Turn off The ambient occlusion too, that always adds a fake look to the scene . It's the boole of lighting! Absolute rubbish for realism.
  4. can you post your file? Then we can see what you are trying to do.
  5. HI, Maybe you could use the distance of the camera to drive the panel opening for each clone. This is one way with mograph, I don't know if you can move your door with mograoh effectors but here ya go. doors.c4d
  6. I forgot to ask where are you trying to get the particles to start? but maybe you have the Distance and Distance Variation on
  7. Hi, What kind of emitter are you using? Can you show the expresso or post the file?
  8. hi, if this is what you want, it's because you have the matrix stepping on y and z, set y to 0.
  9. Hi, you might try switching particle groups from spawning to not spawning after 60 frames, then the modifier keeps working on new particles. spawningc4d.c4d
  10. Hi, you can do a Current State to Object on the XP trail to get splines.

this is great to hear! Thanks for all the work it takes to make this community better and better.
  12. maybe what you're looking for is under the display tab? using Full Hierarchy in the Object Manager drop down will show everything
  13. setting the priority on the point cache lower than it was fixes the problem.
  14. I think the problem you're having comes from clicking the top first then the bottom poly in the hierarchy, try selecting the bottom poly first then shift click on the top poly in the hierarchy, for ARRANGE-POLY. I got the script working for me, is everything in a hierarchy? did you drag the python script tag onto the hierarchy? if you arrange the script icons onto a pallet it's easier to follow the tut.
  15. The only way I've found to get a perfect offset is to use the Cloth Surface, 0 Subdivisions and adjust the offset as you want. The problem is then to make this an object and remove the original surface. But at least it will the exact same shape.
  16. you can use the Optimize command with a point selection, that allows distance tolerance & welding.
  17. Glad it worked out it's one i never knew was there, for years
  18. another way is the instance object. If you make instances of an object, all the instances will change with any changes to the original object.
  19. Yes now I see, the first set of controls.
  20. Is there a reason that every group is inside a cloner? there doesn't seem to be any clones that I can see? That is one on the reasons you might be having trouble with this set up. here's a quick test - works just like you thought out of cloner - I added a math node for adjustable offset height. basis-staafdiagrammen_02.c4d
  21. Counting edges or points always leads to trouble for me. Now I only use the HUD selected point, edge polygon counting thing. Instant and correct. Unlike myself. great for stitching edge loops of rings to your work after cutting out holes of unknown dimensions
