  1. for me... viewport rewrite, USD update with Material X support (ensure all 3rd party renderers). Also UDIM, and additional UV tools like a relax brush and interacting stitching, etc. The way they've been going, I think they'll actually continue with a seemingly unified dynamics architecture which hopefully will include nodes.

  2. I hope revised Ridged Body Dynamics to with with Cloth/Rope. Id also love to see the Camera calibration to be completly rewritten with more automation/AI features to make it faster easier to match

  4. I'm hoping for a new particles solver with massive performance gains. Pyro has to have some kind of new particles under the hood already, hasn't it? And a new, fresh viewport, please. And an uncluttered dopesheet. Thanks! 🙂

It could have happened in a different time but I don't think there is a suitable incentive structure currently existing for Maxon to deliver on the original promise of scene nodes, with all the time and development cost that would entail. Why would a subscription service go so far out on a limb like that when all that is needed is to maintain the subscription service and the system operability and performance while adding as few new features as needed to placate those demanding something new. Not saying Maxon does that, but as we've seen with Adobe, it can easily and not surprisingly unfold that way.

  9. The C4D peeps are having a bunch of fun with this, so why not join the party? (Well, looking in from the outside, I guess . . .) If you Google "chladni pattern formula", you can pick up the formula from the first result, and just directly plonk it down into a Point Wrangle. Generate a couple of sliders, and Bob's your uncle.
